Evernote Shared Folders - Make it happen mondays

bjbjqPqP Hey, it s Paul Colligan for Make it Happen Monday. In the past, I ve spoke of Evernote, my favorite app service product, whatever it is you want to call it. Well, I m getting to like this thing more and more, and they just introduced something that I want you to take a look at and you need a Premium account to do this. Guys, upgrade to the Premium account, it s totally worth it. What they are is they re shared Evernote folders. What the concept is, is you are working on a project with somebody and you want to have a folder where you have everything in common. You basically share the folder with the other person. Now, only the person who creates the folder has to have the Premium account and everybody else who shares that folder can have the free account and you ll be fine to go there. But what this does, I mean, it s all the power of Evernote shared. One really simple example, my wife and her using it is we track recipes online, different things that we want to try. We re just really quickly grabbing a screenshot of those recipes, dumping them into that shared folder then trying some new stuff at dinner time, it s kind of fun. But on the other side of the process, I ve got contractors that I m working with, people that I m working with where we ve set up these shared Evernote folders and then the stuff comes in, documents come in, screenshots, all that stuff, I can just tag them with the different folders. Everything gets shared and spread out across accordingly. At the time of this recording, shared Evernote folders could only be seen on the portable device the person who created the folder. So if I created the shared folder and I shared it with you, I could see that shared folder on my iPad, see that on my iPhone. But you wouldn t be able to see that on your iPad or iPhone, you just see that on the desktop with the web based version. I m sure that s something that they will be fixing. But this new feature of Evernote kind of expands the power of your life in the cloud because it sets to your life in the cloud shared and it s something really, really worth taking a look at.
