Speaker1: On my first day of campus, I was nervous
but I actually had a lot of fun. It wasn't so much as nervous
as I was terrified, it was nervous that I was excited about it.
Speaker2: It was quite convenient, not only as far as
location, but as far as classroom times, opportunities.
There's a lot of options to be able to get the classes that you need.
Speaker1: You get to experience kind of that college feeling.
You get to walk down and people will smile at you.
They don't even know who you are and you can be
five years, ten years, twenty years younger than them
and they all smile at you. It's a very friendly campus.
Speaker2: And being a single working mom myself,
that was very important to me and actually vital in my
academic career, so CCA was a great fit in that way
because I didn't end up encountering any problems with my
schedule conflicting because of all the options
that they offered here.
Speaker3: I came from Cameroon.
Cameroon is in west Africa. We speak French and English.
Speaker4: When I first came here, my family was struggling
with bills and medical and my dad just got out of the
Marine Corps, so he was looking for a job and
financial need was something that was at the top of my priorities
whenever I was looking for a college.
Speaker3: What I like about it is the small classes.
It's like a family-size classes where you can talk
and then your teacher hear you closely and then you can talk
with your friends and then you also sit with your teacher
as if you are in a kind of family meeting.
Speaker4: It not only offers a low cost tuition,
but it also offers the same rigor that any other university
would have whether it's four-year or two-year.
There's so many great things about CCA that they offer
at a low cost that it's hard to believe that anybody else is
going anywhere else.
Speaker5: The other thing that I've seen is faculty and staff
really, really care, their passion, not just for
what they teach, but for your success.
Speaker6: I've achieved what I could and gone
far beyond the boundaries of what I thought was possible
because this school, the administration, the students,
haven't put restrictions on us.
Speaker 5: You can genuinely feel like they care about
what grade you get. They genuinely feel and they
genuinely push you in the right direction.
Speaker7: I picked CCA because not only is it a great
school, you have great people. It's a diverse community.
You have so much help in the process that it makes
college experience so easy for you.
Speaker 4: Come to CCA.
It'll be a great experience.
You'll never forget it.
Speaker1: I've known a lot of people.
I've seen my friend's older siblings graduate from here.
I've seen many older, my parent's older friends graduating from here.
It's a great place as long as you want to, you can do it.
