Hi, this is Kevin Lindenmuth for Expert Village. I'll be talking about camera angles and camera
moods. The medium shot is usually when somebody is sitting down like this is from the waist
up. Also when they are standing is from the waist up or usually from the knees up and
the medium shot is one or two people. Or if it's more than two people you are going to
need the long shot to just get them all in but the medium shot is again tighter to a
little bit more focused. Because you are tighter it's a little bit more intimate with a scene
going on between actors and talking. A lot of talk shows like soap operas you see lots
and lots of medium shots that is usually the prominent shot that they use for television.
