it's a little bit of an old wives tale, because if you have the sugar
at regular meal times, three times a day... it's not going to harm you. It's the snacking in between
and keeping the
the pH in your mouth acidic that does the harm. The sugar
on your teeth does nothing
but the bacteria converts sugar into
acid, and that's what harms your teeth.
So in a way,
yes it does harm
but eating sugar itself? You know, if I took a bowl of sugar and started eating it right now, it's not
really going to hurt my teeth.
