Welcome to OptionRally Academy, I'm Amy Anderson with the Term of the day.
Today we are going to talk about Market Order.
Market order is an order to a broker to either buy or sell a security at the most favorable
and current available price. This order needs to be executed immediately at current market
prices. As long as there are willing buyers and sellers, market orders are filled. Market
orders are therefore used when certainty of execution is a priority over price of execution.
A market order may be split across multiple participants on the other side of the transaction,
resulting in different prices for different shares.
