There are essentially two ways to treat infertility.
The first are via intrauterine inseminations. In that procedure, *** is prepared and placed into the uterus of a woman at the right time.
In order to prepare the woman for these inseminations, medications (either oral or injectable) are given to the woman so that more than one egg is available.
This is obviously different than what normally occurs, in which only one egg is ovulated during one cycle.
With in vitro fertilization, which is the other alternative to treatment, essentially multiple eggs are extracted from the ovaries and combined with the *** of the husband or partner.
Those embryos which are created are ultimately replaced into the uterus.
