Welcome to Bounce Learning Kids TV.
In this video, we will be explaining how to use some of the unique Visual Learning Resources
from BounceLearningKids.com. Today, we are going to be concentrating on
Numeracy and we're going to be looking at our unique yet simple factors of ten chart.
Recognising the different factors of ten, and understanding the differences between
them, is an important part of learning basic numeracy concepts.
In this very simple to use chart, we can see the various factors of ten arranged in ascending
order. Each row depicts the number, its word form
equivalent, and also the exponent notation for that number.
Eventually, your child or student will realize that the exponent number on the right is associated
with the number of zeros on the left. Simply allow your child or student to look
at this chart and let them notice this fact by themselves!
Children that make associations like this on their own in this way, will remember them
more readily, as this will form important neural pathways in the brain.
Many of the Visual Learning Resources at Bounce Learning Kids are designed to work in exactly
this way. Simply showing them to your child or student,
and letting them discover the various things for themselves, will already be going a long
way towards helping them gain a better and longer-lasting understanding of key educations
concepts. To help solidify the learning, we have a range
of practice work-sheets available for download at BounceLearningKids.com which are designed
specifically to work with this unique chart These and many other quality Visual Learning
Resources are available on our web-site. Give your child a head-start!
