Ladies, are your blue jeans giving you the blues? Well here to show us how to pick out
denim blues is style expert Alison Deyette. It is a pleasure! I know that a lot of women
feel like they have issues finding jeans because everyone wants them but how do we find the
right one? Well most women are pear shaped which means
we carry more weight in our hips, thighs and back. So once we finally tug them over the
thighs we get the gaping in the back because it won't fit our waist. That is usually our
hardest issue. The worst offender is the skinny jeans. I call it the expanded V effect because
yes the ankles look skinny but then the hips are accentuated. Keep the skinny jeans but
wear them with knee high boots in colder temperature and it'll balance your proportions.
What are some tips for shopping for jeans? Some tips would be to go hydrated with a positive
attitude! Jeans are just as hard to shop for as swim suits. It's the bad lighting and on
all the women, even myself, it took about 12 pairs to find the right one.
Does it have to be designer even if you find one that looks good on you?
No, and I will prove that you don't have to buy a designer pair! Let's take a look at Brooke and her jean plea.
Hi Marie, I had the hardest time finding jeans. My hips are super curvy and in some cases
that is a good thing but when trying to find jeans it becomes super difficult.
Brooke is tall but those jeans with flats were cutting her off and she carries most
weight in the hip area so I wanted to balance her proportions. So Brooke, come on out. So
we ditched the skinnies and put her in a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans, the boot cut
balances her proportions. These are so comfortable and I'm not a flair person but these are great
and flattering so I think I should look into buying more boot cut or other styles other
than the skinny. I always say that not every trend is for every
body type. Let's
see
the comparison! We balanced the thigh, she is back to being tall again.
