Now that we have got the stone popped right in here and it fits, the next thing to do
is to tighten the actual setting and now we are actually setting the stone. I like to
use these little pliers with this little notch in them because it makes it relatively easy.
We are just going to tighten these prongs right over the stone being careful to be firm
but gentle at the same time and it is especially important if you are setting something like
a tanzanite or an emerald which are fragile stones, ruby we are relatively lucky with
it. It is a good first time stone to be setting along with diamond or sapphire. All three
of them are extremely hard and they can take quite a bit of abuse so now I've managed to
get these prongs at the point where they are just curling over the top of the stones a
little bit. You can usually tell if it is tight by tapping it here a little bit and
that clicks it all in there because it is loose and we're ready to move on to the next
step.
