Now I'm going to talk about water. Earlier I said that we can start off with eight glasses
of water. If you're really concerned about how much water you might need or maybe you're
just an athlete and you feel like you are not getting enough hydration throughout the
day, you can visit your dietitian and she can configure that out for you. So earlier
I said to get the right amount of water that you need. You can put a cup in your bathroom
sink so that you can drink a glass in the morning and then a glass at night before you
go to bed. Then you can carry around a bottle like this which contains 6-8oz glasses of
water. There is a precaution that you need to take if you are carrying around a bottle
such as this one. You want to be careful not to leave it in your car because when these
bottles become heated they release toxicans which can be carsinagon. Carsinagon and we
don't want to give ourselves cancer when we're trying to be healthy so you can do that. Another
important thing to think about with water is that you really are like a sponge if you
think about it. Your body can not handle a large amount of water all at once so you're
drinking the water throughout the day that is the most beneficial. If you make a new
goal and if you decide I want to drink 8 glasses of water every day and one day you were very
busy and you just didn't get your water in, don't try to drink 8 glasses at night. You're
just going to happen to get up at the middle of the night and you need a lot of rest and
use the restroom. Because if you think about it the sponge your cells can only absorb so
much water so once your hydrated enough then the rest is going to get flushed right out
of your body, so that is how you properly hydrate yourself.
