Hey all! I have something interesting for you today. And by the way this is my first video so bear with me :)
I don't know if this is actually my idea, maybe it is on the Internet somewhere, but not sure.
I am going to speak about these nail foils. I already have blog post about them.
I have one more, but I think I will buy more because they are great.
The special glue for foils wasn't available, when I bought them so I was looking for some alternatives besides advices like "use superglue" :D.
Yesterday I found one blog post on the Internet and that girl was using these foils as eyeliner.
It may sound crazy, but it looked amazing.
And she used lash glue.
I was actually thinking about that it may work. Because transfer foil glue is a white glue with opal shine/effect and once is dry it is clear.
And the lash glue is looking the same...
So what I am going to use today? I will show you little tutorial.
You will need transfer foil, I bought them for around 2 € one, not sure.
Next lash glue, you can use the small ones from eyelash packs. I bought this bigger one lately.
Also we need some base, something similar to foil color. I used Essence 52 Out Of My Mind.
Some brush for applying glue. I have this oval one.
And something to smooth the foil - I have cotton bud.
And here we go.
Paint your nails with the base color.
Then squeeze some glue and apply with brush on your nail.
Not sure about the thickness of layer, but it doesn't have to be white all over. You just have to apply thoroughly so the foil will stick to nail nicely.
Wait for a little while. I cut the foil into smaller pieces that will cover nails. My foil is quite long so I cut it also in the middle. So far I tried two nails and it looks pretty good.
So now, with yellow side down. Just place it onto nail, grab your cotton bud and smooth the surface.
And you can see what the foil is doing... There is a clear spot where the foil is transfered onto nail.
And this one looks good, I am happy that I can show you the good one!:D
Now peel the foil... Looking good. Happy! :D
Also it is quick thing to do. I think you can do like two nails at the time, but... it is my first time, so I wanna make them to look nice :)
This is how it looks like when you peel it from the nail, there is a clear spot.
Take the foil again, stick it, rub. For smoothing you can also use the orange stick or something similar.
Next one done. If you see that there are some spots missing the foil, just take the foil, stick it to that spot.
Now my thumb. I wrote about my funny thumbs already :D No surprises.
Blah blah blah :D That was a text message...
So this time with green side down. Same thing again. And I almost forgot. I am doing this as a part of 31 days nail art challenge. And today is the day of metallic nails.
Tadaah! From now on, I am just going to stare at my nails :D
And this is how it looks like when it is done. I read that you shouldn't use top coat over these. It can mattify the foil. And the Seche Vite and other fast drying top coats can shrink the foil.
So other hand the same thing. Sorry for the end of the video...
