You know, my typical Saturday night is a night at home, often with my daughter; often spent
cooking around the kitchen table which is a big counter where I'm standing on one side
probably near the fire and she is standing on the other side probably mixing and making
quite a big mess as a matter of fact. But my daughter is twelve years old now and it's
hard to find a way sometimes to connect with the kid at that age. And I have found personally
by preparing a meal, baking, things like that, it opens up a space in which we are both distracted
in an activity and both connected in a very different way. And it opens up a heart to
heart in a way that is kind of unique and special. And that's the power of having I
think a nice home that you are comfortable in in which your family can be comfortable
in.
