If you're ready to gain first hand experience in your career area of interest through a
co-op or internship, applying is easy. Just follow these four simple steps.
Step 1: Make sure you're eligible.
You must have completed 12 college credits and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Step 2: Write a resume.
Resume Writing resources can be found on the Counseling and Career Services web page at
www.howardcc.edu/career under Search for a Job.
Step 3: Have your resume reviewed.
You can meet with a career counselor by appointment for a one on one resume review or attend a
walk-in resume review held throughout the semester.
Step 4: Schedule an appointment with the Co-Op/Internship Manager to begin your search and determine
whether a co-op for academic credit or an internship is right for you.
