Alright, here's the deal. A little Duckology coming here, right. Green-winged teal drake,
drake only. That's all he does. That's the only sound he makes.Green-winged hen, just
a little ole light. And there's all variations of them. Some of them sound horrible. You
know, people keep saying, "well you sound terrible on that duck call." Well, look, I've
heard ducks that sound terrible. Ok, so, you know. Alright, Gadwall. That's all he does.
And when they get excited, they do [duck call noises]. When they get excited, they get to
talking back to each other like women. You know, you can't get a word in edgewise. Mallard
hen. This one here is Phil's favorite duck call, the duck picker. Look here, over the
years, of all of the calls we got, we've got a lot of Mallard hen calls. But we video our
duck hunts. Ok, so we're calling at them, they fly by, you know. And we got to notice
something and Jeff's the one that said it, our cameraman. He said, "Boys, hey." And they
was talking about, now what's the best duck call? And everybody was saying, this one,
that one. And Jeff said, "No, wrong answer." And Phil said, "What do you mean? That's the
best duck call we've got, son." And Jeff said, "No. Not according to the ducks it's not."
He said, "Because when you hit that duck picker, you've been calling at him with everything
else, everybody in the duck blind has, and they've been flying off. As soon as you hit
that duck picker with [duck call sounds] and here they come back." You know, then we got
to watching the videos, and hey, every time Phil would hit that duck picker, they would
lock up and here they come in. So, this is the best duck call.
