Most people heading to Bali for an overseas holiday go for the nightlife, but besides
partying there are still plenty of things to do.
Here are my top tips for travelling to Bali - first thing you'll notice is the shopping.
Markets are everywhere and they are awesome, but never pay the first price, give your bartering
skills a crack and negotiate a good price. When it gets too hot outside, head to the
beach walk shopping mall in Kuta - some air conditioned relief with quality fashion stores
as awesome prices. If shopping isn't your thing, head to the
beach and give surfing a go - Legian is way less crowded than Kuta so you won't have to
embarass yourself in front of heaps of people. If you're not up for surfing, head to the
water bomb park in Kuta - think Wet N Wild but without the rules.
For something different, head to the monkey forest park in Ubud and leave your fake market
Rolex at the hotel because the monkies get attracted by shiny things. If you're tempted
to ride a scooter, make sure you wear a helmet and ride carefully. Road rules seem non-existent
but the fines for tourists are massive. And remember don't be tight - make sure you tip
everywhere you go. To make sure you're prepared for your Bali adventure check out the travelling
