My name's Keith Cooper,
I'm a commercial photographer based in Leceister in England.
My website's called Northlight Images.
It was initially intended just to promote my business,
but as time has gone on, I've begun writing hundreds of articles
to attract more visitors to the web site.
In 2005, someone asked me why I had no advertising on the site.
Since I was a small UK business, but with a global audience,
and I needed advertising that was relevant to people
who were visiting the site, I signed up with Google AdSense.
Generally I've been very pleased with the quality of the ads.
The income from AdSense is pretty solid and dependable,
and earns me up to 80 to 90 per cent of my advertising income.
It lets me develop my business in the way that I really want to,
and I even get major manufacturers
sending me equipment now to test and review.
It's the popularity of the site that makes it worthwhile to them.
I honestly never dreamt that it would end up
being one of the top 40 photography websites in the world.
It attracts over 5 million unique visitors a year,
and occupies now a regular part of my working day,
and even provides part-time employment for my wife.
AdSense means I can concentrate on the areas of photography
that really matter to me.
AdSense can almost be seen as the perfect client.
It pays for me to photograph whatever I feel like,
and it pays up on time.
