Your children are about to be taken away or they've already been taken away by the social
worker. Do you have to let the social worker into your home? Hi. My name is Vincent Davis.
I'm an attorney in California and I represent people who are trying to regain custody of
their children from the social workers. The answer to the question do you have to let
the social worker into your home is it depends. It depends on a variety of factors. If your
children are already in your home and the social worker shows up with or without a police
authority, you don't have to let them in your home unless they have a court order or a warrant
or they have exigent circumstances. Exigent circumstances is a term of art. It really
means do they have an emergency? Do they have an emergency to come into your home and see
your children? However this won't stop social workers and police officers telling you that
they have the right to come into your home. Whether you want to let them into your home
without a warrant or without a court order, it's going to be up to you. The first thing
you should probably do is get on the phone and talk to an attorney right away so that
this issue can be handled and resolved without further complications. Why is this important
to you? Well it's important to you because if you make the wrong decision you could be
arrested or this information could be used against you at a later criminal or juvenile
proceeding. I know you have questions and this is why you're looking at this video.
I answer these types of questions every day, all day long. I'd love to answer your questions
about these issues and about your case. Pick up the phone, give me a call. My name is Vincent
Davis, thank you for watching this video.
