So apparently *** stars might not be the damaged goods or damaged flowers like we imagined
they were. Like we imagine that they’ve all been abused, and they had horrible situations,
and that’s why they were forced into ***. But there’s a recent study that I actually
talked about on TYT U this week that says that apparently that might not be the case.
And so they looked at a hundred and seventy seven different *** stars who’d been in
*** for about 3.5 years on average. And they compared them to other women of similar economic
means, race, all that stuff. And they found that there are some negative that we’re
gonna talk about, but in general, the *** stars has higher self-esteem, more spiritual,
better views of sex, enjoyed sex more, and weren’t any more likely to have been abused
as children. So should this radically change the way we see this profession? I think that
we probably shouldn’t have stigmatized that profession in the first place. If women and
men have decided that they want to take that career as their profession, then let them
do it. They’re just doing what humans do except they’re doing it on camera, on tape.
And sometimes with more people than we normally do it. Let’s discuss that a little bit because
I don’t necessarily think that people who are abused are more likely to enter the ***
industry. But I do feel that the *** industry has changed significantly since the internet.
And a lot of people are forced to do more and more things that I think are unhealthy.
Like what in particular? Like *** for instance. I know that that’s like a very
graphic example but you see people, a couple people laughing, but I mean look. You see
people that are being like degraded on camera and it’s because there’s a market out
there for that and I don’t really know how you tackle that issue. How does that lead
to higher self esteem though? I’m curious. Assume these people have higher self esteem
apparently. No we don’t know for sure. *** is sexually liberating. Maybe. We don’t
know these *** actresses, what sorts of *** they do. Maybe they just do normal guy on
girl stuff and not guy on guy on guy on girl stuff or something like that. But we have
to assume without any further data that it’s somewhat representative. So despite the fact
that they’ re in a profession that we say should be so degrading, and they are i think
generally degraded. And I think that a lot of guys like that the women are being degraded.
For the most part, with a few notable examples that I can mention, they don’t seem to be
degraded. Yea and I think that that’s kind of the surprising part of it. I mean I would
like to look into the study a little further to see if they did ask them what specific
type of *** they do because i mean. O god. He said ATM. What does that mean? That’s
just wrong. I can’t explain it. I have to show you. Brilliant. That’s so awful. I’m
so sorry. That was inappropriate. Anybody can Google it. Look at how red he is now.
It means *** to mouth ok? Oh my god. Ana Kasparian knows it. Yea. It’s the internets. People
can hear that now. It’s like rim jobs? No. That I don’t, what does that mean? When
you lick your butt hole. Oh ok. You asked if it would radically change our perception
of the profession? No. Like what are we gonna go, oh hey man. *** people were gross before.
Now you’re more lovable than doctors or something like that. Like no. They’re still
*** people. Why would this radically change our view of it? Yea but we used to pity them.
It kind of changes mine. How so? I don’t think that people have every pitied them.
I think it’s always been about judgement. And it’s like oh, look at this dirty thing
they’re doing on camera. Let’s look down at them because it makes us feel better about
ourselves. Those people are never gonna change regardless of what any studies says. People
said that though to appease other people. They’re probably around other people when
they said that, you know. Oh I can’t believe they’re doing ***. That’s so gross. And
in private they watch it. Of course. But how does it change your view? Well the study was,
they’re not more likely to have a past negative *** experiences correct? Have been abused.
Yea. That’s the word I was looking for. If that’s true, well I usually look at girl
*** stars like, oh poor girl. She was probably abused or *** and she’s just filling this
void. And she has issues. Poor girl. But that’s not the case then I’m like hey good for
you girl. Go get your sex on and make money off of it. Chelsea. How do you know what is
the case then? Well no I’m just saying according to the study. I don’t know if see, I’d
be curious to know if, ‘cause if this study was then calling up *** actresses and being
like, hey how do you feel about yourself in your life, how many of them would really say
I feel abused, I feel conquered. It’s based on self-reporting. Yea. I feel like my life
is horrible. I wonder how much of them are really willing to be honest about it. And
I find it a little hard to believe, like I suppose if they were just doing relatively
normal sex acts then I don’t really care. Maybe they get off on being on camera. Whatever
like that. But you know like getting *** by a bunch of people or standing in a circle
of people who are jerking off on you or something like that. It’s gotta do something to your
brain. It does something to your hair if nothing else. Freakin John with your inappropriate
jokes.
