Now, I'm going to show you how to put a final decoration on to the lamp shade, before we
attach the ribbon for hanging. I'm going to take two pieces of ribbon, going to measure
their, the ribbon according to the circumference of the lamp shade. And then I'm going to take
some rubber cement glue and just put a nice long line of glue, running across the length
of the ribbon and then put it on to the plastic. The glue should catch the plastic, and it
should give you enough time before it dries, to actually move it down a little bit, so
it sits exactly onto the edge of the, of the plastic sheet. This gives it a really nice
look, because it makes the plastic, kind of look more of, almost as if it's a piece of
cloth with a hem to it. It takes away from the look that it's just a piece of plastic
with some colored images on it. So, it's a really nice look, makes the whole lamp shade
appear much richer and much more of a professional look to it. So, we're going to do the same
thing to the second ribbon. We put the strip of glue down the length and just attach it
to the plastic. Let it catch, then once it's all the way around, we can go ahead and just
move it up a little bit. So now, we can see the difference, the ribbon on the top and
the bottom really makes to our lamp shade. And, I really recommend doing this step, even
though that you can leave it just as the, just without the ribbon on it, just the plastic.
But, I think it makes a big difference in the project, so I would really recommend doing
this step. So now I've shown you how to take a piece of ribbon and make a border around
the top edge and the bottom edge and get it ready for hanging.
