Hi everybody Hezi from successhowto is here I have investigated for a very long time all
the available options to automate the twitter accounts, and in this short video I am going
to show you the best way that I know of how to automate your twitterfeed, and by that
I mean the status updates that you post on your twitter feed
If you follow me for some time or if you watched some of my previous videos about the topic
of twitter automation you probably have noticed that I am recommending this software, tweetadder
to do so. I still do recommend and use tweetadder myself for the purpose of building your twitter
follower, in that regards I think that it is the best software around.
However, when it comes to automating the feed, it has one drawback, because it has only limied
control on the scheduling of tweets, and I will explain.
I will get into one of my account so I can explain it better.
Here, I will click on the tweets tab and here you can see that I have one giant
list of tweets, that I uploaded into tweetadder for this account, and I can control the rate
that tweetadder drips statuses into the account feed, and I can tell it to randomize it, but
if I draw it, it will look like this: esentially, there is only one bucket, so if
I have several categories (if you will) of statuses, for example, quotes, blogs posts,
time limited offers, and other offers, and I want each one to have a different drip rate
into the feed, I can't do that with tweetadder, because I have only one bucket.
The solution that I have found is called socialoomph. with socialoomph I can have unlimited amount
of seperate buckets, and I can control the rate that bucket drips into the feed, and
I can also set the duration that the bucket will be active.
so for example, I can set the quotes bucket to post one status into the feed every hour,
and on the same time the blog posts bucket will post one status every day to drive traffic
to my old blog posts. I can set a specific bucket to finish dripping content whenever
I want
If I have several accounts, I can set one bucket to posts to all of them, including
FB profile and fanpages, linkedin and to several twitter accounts, all on the same time.
One thing that you need to know is that when you post the same status on several twitter
accounts on the same time, twitter sees these duplicated messages and reject them. There
is a way around it that I will show you in just a minute.
So basically with socialoomph you have total control on the scheduling of your statuses
for the major social media networks.
Now, let me just show you how easy it is to define a bucket in socialoomph.
When we get into the socialoomph dashboard, we pick "sceduled updates" from the left side
menu, and then we go into "queue reservoirs" (this is how they call the status buckets
from my drawing), and then to create new queue
we give our new queue a name
in the publish interval we define the amount of time between every status updates.
the minimum is 20 minutes, but for this example, let's pick every 2 hours.
we select the accounts that we want the queue to drip statuses into them using the ctrl
button if we want more than one account. let's pick 3 accounts for this example.
we can check the recycle updates checkbox to tell socialoomph to reuse the status that
been posted back into the end of the queue. this will make sure that our statuses will
continue to run again and again, so our feed will always look fresh
the account inclusion option is very important to solve the problem that I told you before
about the duplicated statuses when when posting the same message to several twitter accounts
at the same time. what it means is that it tells socialoomph that when ever it is time
to drip a status from the bucket, it is allowed to post only to one of the accounts.
So if in this example we have picked 3 accounts, and the duration between posts is 2 hours,
then socialoomph will post to one accout, then after 2 hours to the second account,
after another 2 hours to the third, and after another 2 hours again to the first, and so
on and so on.
This avoids the message duplication error in twitter, so a great solution here, as I
told you, everything is possible with socialooph, a great application, you have total control
on the scheduling of statuses.
to complete the definition of the bucket, we just need to set the days and hours that
the bucket will be allowed to post to the feed. I usually set it to 18 hours a day to
appear more natural, as if a human is behind those posting.
there is even a new option here, to allow the bucket to post only within specific dates.
great for holidays, maybe you can find some other uses for this as well.
so that's it, you just click on the save button and you have now a new empty queue reservoir.
let's see how easy it is to put a status into this queue.
again we go into "scheduled updates", "schedule new update"
we put our message in the box.
...first message in new bucket...
we click on the "queue reservoir" checkbox, we select our new bucket... and that's it.
we can add unlimited number of statuses into this bucket, and it will drip them in the
feed in the rate that we defined them.
if I go now to "scheduled updates", "queue reservoirs", "list queues", you can see all
the queues that I have defined for my twitter accounts.
I am also using socialoomph to automate the publication of statuses into my facebook fanpage,
to make it more alive.
there are other options here with socialoomph, I have barely scratched the surface with what
this program can do, but I think that this enough for this video. the scheduling option
cost I think about 12$ a month, but you can go right now to "successhowto.com/hootsuite"
to open your free account and see for yourself what this software is capable of. you can
test drive it for a 7 days with full capabilities and see if it have any benefits for you business.
I totally thinks that it worth the money.
until next video
wish you a great rest of the day
bye for now.
