Hi everyone. This is Rage of the Gladiator. It's an Infinity Blade-style game
or Death Dome-style if you prefer, if you're an Androider.
So the basic idea is to dodge, block, attack and so on. It's a free to play game with
inapp purchases.
Buy gold
with real money. Use it to unlock stuff faster, bigger weapons etcetera, hooray,
more inapp purchases, but
it's been well done. It's not too in-your-face in this particular game. You get extra
bonus gold every time you play the game sequentially over a number of days.
And the graphics are really nicely done and honestly the character animation is
absolutely fantastic.
You can see that the actual animation when you actually hit these guys this feels like there is
real physics kind of connecting these blows,
and it really does give you
that kind of nice, ooh, ow!
nice powerful vibe to it. Certainly it's a lot better than the last
Infinity Blade
I've found, anyway.
I think the graphics are just really really nicely done, certainly on the Galaxy Note 2 the
gameplay is really fluid. OW!
Oh, and there's a jump button which I thought was really cool, so you can now jump,
jump out of the way of people.
Bring it on.
Beastie boy.
Come on....hit me.
You have special power-ups as well once you've managed to charge your bar up successfully.
You have three of those that you can have unlocked throughout the game. I've got one up at the moment.
You can try if you want to, to try and interrupt their attacks
to various degrees of success.
This guy is ridiculous.
But that is Rage of the Gladiator. It is an excellent game. Each fight goes over three
rounds
so you do have the opportunity to kind of
recover if you've had a particularly
bad round. First round.
Take this guy out. There we go.
And actually as the rounds progress the bad guys, as it were, that
you're trying to defend and attack kind of grow in size,
become magical in some cases.
Should really actually try and time my dodges
give them some shield.
As I say, up on the Google Play Store now, free to play game. I think this is going to be a good one for the
weekend there's quite a lot of nice gameplay here
and I think people will generally
get on all right with this game. Certainly on the Galaxy Note 2 it's nice and fast and fluid and the graphics look great.
Also tried it out on the Nexus 7 and the Galaxy S3, same result. Really really well
optimised game. Lots of good gameplay here
and like I say, inapp purchases not too in-your-face
unlike this beastie looking thing.
