Hi! My name is Carolina Nava and I'm from Mexico City,
I've been studying Korean since 2007
in the Hangeul Hakkyo school of Mexico City
Hangeul Hakkyo is a school for korean kids
that were born in Mexico City
Therefore, here they can learn about hangeul, history
and other aspects that are very important for koreans.
In the school we get to learn about korean culture as well
through story telling and different kinds of events, like the Hangeul Nal
Since I first started to study korean,
I've had several teachers who taught me not only to learn the language
but also to appreciate Korea's vast culture and people
More recently, I enrolled in the Hanguk Munhwawon
Thanks to the Korean Cultural Center
we get to do activities that normally we wouldn't be able to
Last week we made a decoration fan made of hanji paper
that is a special craft from Korea
My friends and I love K-Pop as well so we enjoy a lot going to noraebang and sing
In the past, it was very difficult for a korean artist to visit out country,
but now we have been visited by several groups like U-Kiss and MBLAQ.
