To be in the mountains is amazing. It's where I get that quantifiable, something greater
than the sum of its parts experience.
From a young age I knew I wanted to be a professional athlete in board sports.
Disabled is a state of mind. Are you focusing on your abilities or your disabilities?
I don't have a leg, but I'm not going to focus and try to work on my weaknesses, I'm going
to really try to work on my strengths. From my experience that's really how you can kind
of set yourself up.
I work really hard in physical therapy and just taking care of myself.
I changed my diet. I wanted to speed up that recovery process as fast as I could.
I told all of my friends that if I don't give myself a goal I'm going to go crazy.
I'm going to learn how to snowboard.
I felt so good that I set another goal, I want a little bit more of this.
Setting that goal brought me to the pinnacle of sport in a sport that I love.
You don't really realize how strong you are until you have to be.
I believe happiness is only experienced when shared. What I love is to go out and learn
and to share it with my friends. When I'm in that environment I come alive.
I try to live life as passionate as I can. To have your actions really define who you
are, to me is really important because it's true and it's authentic.
I'm achieving my goals, I'm living my dream. I'm getting to where I wanted to be.
I made it my mission. This is my purpose.
This is what I love.
