Hello, my name is Denise Robinson, and I'm a set designer for television and film. And,
I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Okay. Now to continue on with decorating our African
influenced pillow, I took my raffia and cut it. So, I'm going to kind of divide it up
and I'm going to add pieces of it to each corner. I'm going to take that and I'm fold
it in half. And, I'm trying to train it to be flat here so that I can have more control
of it. I'm just going to set that aside. Cut a piece of twine, oh so long. And, I'm going
to double it. Take a piece of the raffia that I started off with here, and tie a knot around
it. I'm just going to tie a double knot. Now, it could be a little more decorative if you've
got the twine that's more like burlap to give it that more of a rough look. I'm going to
take my twine and my raffia, take a corner of the pillow, and gather it and tie another
knot here. I make sure I have enough so it won't slide. And, tie it really, really tight.
And just tie it in a couple knots to make sure that it's secure. Keep tying. Keep tying.
As you can see, here is the start of our first corner.
