I have been posting videos on YouTube and I like to keep track of the number of Views.
Hi, this is Crystal
I have a Channel Tracker that I would like to share with you.
This is a free download from www.AccessMVP.com/strive4peace
The link is in the video description.
One the web page, click on the download link. Save the file to your drive.
Take the database out of the Zip file.
Open the database
Click on the New Channel button
Add your Channel Name, which you will get from the URL.
Fill out the Display Name for you channel (my display name is the same as my Channel Name)
Click the Get videos button.
Access will open up a list of videos for the channel
and read information for about 30 videos.
In addition to the video title, length, YouTube ID,
the thumbnail file for that video is also downloaded and associated with the record.
You can also enter videos manually.
Now click the Get Views button.
As you move to a different video record, its Views are displayed.
If you double-click on the Title of a video,
a browser window opens to that video on YouTube.
To read videos for another channel, click the New Channel button
Fill the channel name and display name, as before.
Click Get Videos.
When that is done, click Get Views.
To display information for another channel, use the Find combo at the top of the form.
The Find Video combo is filtered to the videos for whatever channel you are looking at.
Since its been a few minutes, I'll click Get Views again
No change in the number of views but now there are 2 lines of data.
As months pass and you use this tool, you will be able to see trends in your data.
If you are a developer and expand the Channel Tracker, please email me.
Thanks for joining me.
Through sharing, we will all get better. Original music by Jubal Lee Young. See you soon!
