In this specific video you're going to learn how to upload and install themes manually.
So the easiest way to go about doing this is to go to Google.com and type in "free WordPress
themes".
Now you can go to the main site, however keep in mind that there are hundreds and thousands
of free WordPress themes that are not just on the wordpress.org site.
But in this case, what I'm going to do is just go into the wordpress.org site and what
you want to do is just find a theme that you want.
Let's say for example, that I want to use this newest theme here, that says "Catch Box",
let's say I go through I look at it - I say "okay, this is something that I can use on
my site".
So what I need to do is just click on "Download" here, and it's going to download the theme
to your computer.
So what you want to do now is locate this theme, and unzip the "Catch Box" theme and this is the theme. And what I need to
do now is go to the filezilla ftp program. I'm going to refresh and right now I'm looking
at looking at - it's going to be under "/wp-content/themes".
So I need to drag and drop the files here. so drag and drop this folder over here, and
once this is updated, what I need to do now is go back to the WordPress dashboard, and
go under "Themes", and then under here you should be able to see the theme.
Alright, so what I need to do now from the dashboard is to simply click on "Activate"
and then if I go to the live site it should be activated.
Okay good, so we can see the new theme has been activated here.
So that's fairly easy to do and of course you can go in there and configure and customize
the theme to your liking.
