Well hi there, This is Dan again from CleanGuru. And today, here’s the question… Why do
so many cleaning businesses want to compete with so many cleaning businesses? Well that
sounds, that may sound crazy,r ight? You might want to say, “Hey Dan, that’s ridiculous.
They don’t want to.” Well, if they don’t want to, they may say they don’t want to,
but the way they go about getting business sends the message that they do want to compete
with a lot of companies. Here’s what I mean – If you don’t have a marketing system
in place then really what you’re doing is kind of waiting for a phone call, and uh,
or your driving by a building who’s taking bids, or, or, you’re waiting for someone
who’s going out to get bids. And so they may get five companies, ah because they’re
going to make a change and they’re looking for the best price and so they contact you
out of the blue. Well, you’re just, in some ways, just like them. So they’re calling
five companies they think that they think are all the same. So, a lot of times it might
get down to price because they consider you to be all the same. Now, on the other hand,
if you didn’t wait until that happened, if instead, you went after all the companies
right now, business owners, excuse me, building owners, property managers… Maybe they’re
not right now making a change, but they may in the future. And if you get your message
to them, your marketing message to them, and they keep getting that message, and one day
they call you and say, “You know, I got your stuff. I’d like to meet you.” Well,
in that way, they’re not pressed for time. They may not be so interested in price, they’re
more interested in your message. And they’re not looking maybe to go out and get all kinds
of other bids. They may just want you to come to their office to meet with them and put
in YOUR bid. That happens a lot of times. So, there’s the question. How do companies,
why do they want to compete with so many cleaning businesses? If they don’t really want to,
if they switched over to a different way of doing their marketing, it could get a very
different customer that’s calling them. Something to think about. Make sense? Have
