I started as software engineer with a Bosch division in October 2000, that is about 9 years ago.
After the initial familiarization time at Bosch, and when I felt truly at home in my task,
I expressed the wish to assume more responsibility and to widen my scope for other issues.
mentioned this to my superior in one of the regularly conducted performance review discussions and got
a positive feedback. Amongst others the potential for the management development plan was then defined.
Instruments of the management development plan comprise seminars on performance review discussions
or interview techniques in order to prepare you for your first executive position.
Initially, I resumed specialist responsibility by leading specialist teams, later also globally
distributed teams in specialist leadership. And in parallel I had the opportunity to supervise
interns and students writing their diploma thesis.
I was in Australia, in Melbourne, for Bosch. For me personally it was absolutely great
to be offered this opportunity. In Australia I had a wider scope of responsibilities,
not only in software development but also in application and technical sales.
I greatly profited from this to widen my professional horizon and this prepared me
for new tasks following my stay in Australia.
I’m currently supervising a group of project leaders in software development and in parallel
am responsible for a lead project to increase the efficiency in our division. It is a great
joy to develop associates, discover potential and to guide associates and give them the chance
to grow into more demanding responsibilities.
