All right, guys. Now I'm going to show you a transition. How to switch from the ankle
lock to the heel hold. We've covered all these moves in previous videos, so it should flow
pretty nicely. So we're in his guard and I'm going to try to get his guard to open up.
Now when his guard opens up, even if we want the heel hook we're always going to go to
the ankle lock first, because the ankle lock provides stability and control, proper leg
control.
So windshield wiper, come over to my position one. My foot behind his butt. My foot either
stomping on his leg or on the ground, whichever. Have that nice tight grip. Sometimes if you
guys feel like you get flat here you do shrimp out, shrimp back in. From here what I'm going
to do is I'm going to come up. Legs are tight, push his foot away from me like a toe hold,
then sneak it right back into my armpit, gable grip my hands, my forearm bone into his Achilles,
pulling it in and then rotating. Just like that. That's how you switch from an Achilles
lock or an ankle lock to a heel hook.
