BuzzyMag.com Interview With Sharon Lee & Steve Miller
Part 7:
Host: You did mention something about WorldCon and that [??] will be coming
out right after WorldCon?
Steve Miller: It looks like that it may.
Sharon Lee: There may be some there.
Host: Would you let the folks here know what your plans are for appearances
in the coming year, if you have some.
Sharon Lee: We will be at WorldCon.
Steve Miller: We will be at WroldCon and we will be at Anticipacion, in
Montreal, and we frequently go to Albacon, and that is in
Albany, New York.
Sharon Lee: Over Columbus Day weekend.
Steve Miller: Over Columbus Day. We will probably do that next year, we did
it this year. Boskone is more or less our home convention right
now, so I would expect to be at Boskone, I do not see any reason
why not. This year, we are on somewhat of a reduced schedule, in
part because when our former publisher, Meisha Merlin, went out
of business, SRM had been paying for the health insurance for
the house. SRM had also to pick up the mortgage payments for the
house and stuff, so we scattered things around.
Sharon Lee: We scrambled around. I went back to work in the real world at
the local college, and that means that I only get so many
vacation days.
Host: Wait a second. You are in the real world. You mean the paying world.
Sharon Lee: OK. The world where you get a paycheck every two weeks. Anyhow,
that means I have vacation days, and I used up a big lump of
vacation days to come down here, and we wanted to come down here
because we get south so seldom. It was really a good opportunity
for us to meet our Southern fans.
Steve Miller: We have not been to . . . the last time we came south, we were
in Durham, I think it was, for TriniCon.
Sharon Lee: Trinicon.
Steve Miller: And that has been four or five years.
Host: Speaking of people getting in touch with you, especially your fans,
we spoke about SRM, and we mentioned that you have
webscriptions, chat books, and such. Would you like to tell
these folks how they can find you on the web?
Sharon Lee: Yes. You can either go to www.korval.com.
Steve Miller: That is K-O-R-V-A-L.com.
Sharon Lee: You can find our LiveJournals. Mine is Rolanni at,
Steve Miller: That is R-O-L-A-N-N-I.
Sharon Lee: Rolanni.LiveJournal.com, one word, good heavens, who knew.
Steve Miller: I am available at Kensyl at LiveJournal.com, and we both have
blogs. This may sound forward of me, but if you do Google search
on Sharon Lee and Steve Miller . . .
Sharon Lee: We are not hard to find.
Steve Miller: We are generally not hard to find. You can also ask your
bookseller, because they are going to have Bing Books, and Bing
Books has a lot of ways into the fan community. They are very
well-connected.
Sharon Lee: We also have SRMPublisher.com. We are trying to be as open as
we can.
Steve Miller: CatWhisker.net, which is the home of Cat Whisker Digest. Again,
we are generally pretty easy to find.
Host: Thank you both so much for your time, your efforts, and taking that
time to let some people who either have not seen you, or have
not even heard of you, about the wonderful things that they can
read and hear in connecting with your work. Thank you ever so
much, and have a wonderful rest of the time at SenaCon, which is
very, it is like a half an afternoon, and a little bit of time
before you go back to the wilds of Maine.
Sharon Lee: Thank you for taking the time to do this. This is great.
Steve Miller: Thank you.
Host: Take care.
