On our homepage, we have databases that are alphabetically listed and we have them by
subject, which is nice if you are doing a science paper or medicine paper or education,
because when you click on that topic it gives you suggested databases to use for articles.
If you are looking for an article that we don't have, we can order it for you through
interlibrary loan.
To take citations and put them somewhere and create a reference sheet
absolutely easy as 1-2-3, we have a wonderful product for you. It's called RefWorks, and
you need to go use it.
What I want to let you know about are our streaming video resources.
Our databases, such as Films on Demand, contain thousands of academic quality videos that
will be just as good as those PDFs and articles that you get in our other databases.
Chat reference service is available throughout the year. There are also extended hours from
8pm to 11pm Mountain Standard Time during the regular school year.
Here at Benedictine, over 50% of the Library's collection is online. So no matter where you are, you have immediate
access to thousands of eBooks covering a wide range of academic disciplines.
On the Library website, there's a tab called Research Guides. These can be accessed both by subject and
alphabetically. For example, the one on Art History recommends relevant books, databases,
online resources, and journals.
And I, along with the other instruction librarians on our
staff, are available to do research consultations virtually. We use various media: the telephone,
virtual screen sharing, and whatever works best for our consultations.
