This screencast will show you how to take the English 102
assessment. First in your course list,
find the English 102 assessment,
right here--we open it yet
and on the assessment page
you have general information about how students have to complete
both of these, and notice that
right now we have the pre-assessment showing.
After the time period for this one has elapsed,
then it will vanish, and at the end of the semester the post assessment will
show.
Here we have the instructions
and the reading, so this is what's going to be addressed in part of
the assessment. NowI'm going to click on the red to
take the test, take the assessment; again I see
the article and I click
continue. Now I've got the actual
assessment, so you will have a series of questions dealing with this article and
some dealing with general documentation.
Now just to give you a little bit if the hint,
on some other questions you may want to copy something from the
article to quote as part of your answer, and
I'm just going to highlight over this.
I'm going to use the control key and the "c"
key on the keyboard to copy. Now this is not the right answer for this, but
I'm going to paste this in the box by using
the control key and the "v" key. Now I can go in and do whatever
I need to with that, and
up here we have the reference to
both Part 1 and 2, so we are dealing with this article for part of it
and just general work cited in the other part. Remember that this
is assessment, ok?
Now, when the whole assessment is done, you want to
save and submit, and notice the directions say the test can be saved and resumed,
so I can save that answer, and then I can close
out in it, and it will be there when I come back. If I'm done,
I can save and submit, and notice it did tell me I had
and unanswered questions. That's all there is to it--
good luck.
