This is the nikon D200
and I'm going to show you how to change the lens.
It's important that you do this on a nice clean flat surface where there's
absolutely no chance of dropping anything
it's also important that when you actually make the transfer of the lens
you do it as quickly and as efficiently as possible minimize the dust
contamination getting into either the lenses or into the body of the camera
this is absolutely essential to keep your camera in good condition
So to remove the lens
the lens release button is
just beside the lens on the body of the camera here
if you press and hold that button and twist the lens
till it's disconnected from the body
I'm actually going to leave that in position on the body of the camera until i'm ready
with the new lens
with the new lens I'm going to take the protective cap off the bottom
so it's ready to go on
some lenses
tell you the alignment
by the presence of the dot on the lens that lines up with the dot on the camera body
that's the position that this lens should be put in
with other lenses that may not be quite so apparent
There may be dot around the
ring of the lens on this particular one the Nikon 60mm lens
it's the presence of a black screw on the inner ring of the lens
and it's this black screw that lines up with the white dot on the body of the camera
so with the lens ready to go on, and this lens ready to come off
I'll make sure that i can see
where the back screw is and where it lines up on the camera
one lens off, the new one on
make sure the protective cap is on the spare lens now and that's securely stored
this lens in position
you need to twist it
till it clicks
and that's your lens ready to go.
