Today we're going to talk about '60s era fashion, and how to dress retro using the notes from
that era. Like a lot of other decades, there are a lot of different looks throughout the
'60s. The early '60s was heavily influenced by '50s fashion. There's a mod scene, and
you see the continuation of pencil skirts as a really great outline. And then as you
get towards the late '60s, with the *** revolution and the Vietnam War, and the emergence
of the hippie movement, the fashions really start to change. And they become much more
earthy and bohemian, and so we're going to try and touch on both of those basic movements
when we talk about accessories and hair and clothing. The '60s is a really, really, really
great decade. We're only going to be able to talk about some of it. But, the influences
of that era still really exist today. And a lot of things that we wear today for every
day were really first introduced in the 1960s. Right now, I'm dressed in a mod style, but
we're also going to show you hippie fashion, like I mentioned earlier. And hippie fashion
isn't really, wasn't really fashion per se, because it wasn't really about the clothes,
it was more about what the clothes weren't. And we'll get into that more that later.
