On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Allison from Western Art Glass. I'm going
to be talking about the tools needed to do copper foil or stain glass so check it out.
First, thing you are going to need eye protection at least never doubt that your eye are very
vital. So anyway wear something on your eyes and the other things you need, you need glass
cutters. There are different types of glass cutters and what changes are just the grip,
so whatever is comfortable with you. This is the pistol grip, this is a pencil grip.
I prefer to use the pencil grip. So you have cutter, you have pliers, and what are called
gross breaking pliers. These are called running pliers, we have pattern shears, your foil
is going to take up some space on your glass and so it has a groove here for that allows
the foil to take up. You are going to need some wire cutters. These are little bit different;
these are called lead dice they call lead. You need some sharpy's and I prefer a pencil
and a eraser. You need to erase a lot. You can tell by the shape of my eraser so you
don't use a pen, keep the Sharpie. You are going to need a razor blade, soldering iron,
temperature control, some regular scissors, some gloves, and I like to work on dry wall.
It is cheap, inexpensive and it is disposable. So in the next step, I'm going to show you
what to do with some of these tools so check it out.
