Jesus said that His disciples will be known because of the love that they have for each
other, that they care for each other. Paul also wrote to the Galatians in Galatians 6:2
He said: “Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” Being part
of the Body of Christ means that we are not alone. We have brothers and sisters that we
need to care for and that care for us also. But very often we do not share our burdens
with other people and they don’t know about our burdens. Very often you want to help but
you don’t know who needs help. Other people want to help and they don’t know who to
help. They are looking around and saying:"Who is there who has need?" and in the meanwhile,
you have a need but you are not sharing it with your brothers and sisters. How can they
know about your need? How can they help you? Very often we do the same with Jesus. Many
people sit in a corner and they say:"I have this problem and God does not care for me."
But they don’t take their burden to Jesus in prayer, say:"Lord, I have this problem,
please help me" and then they say:"Nobody cares for me! God does not care for me," and
then they get all full of self pity, instead of sharing their burden with other people,
who are willing to carry. We must be willing to share our burden with others and also be
willing to bear the burdens of others. In that way the burden becomes lighter and we
can overcome. We do not receive because we do not ask. Let us share each other’s burdens
and bear each other’s burdens and so proof to be children of God.
May Jesus bless you.
