ABBY: Hey, everybody! ALLISON: Hello!
ABBY: Here's what you missed on the first two vlogs.
ALLISON: Allison. ABBY: Abby.
ALLISON: Creators. ABBY: Home Brewed.
ALLISON: Thanks so much to those of you who tuned into our last two vlogs.
ABBY: Thank you. ALLISON: Thank you also for leaving your comments
on our page. We wanted to share one with you for this week from, "TheBEERSgoneBAD."
ABBY: Why did it go bad? ALLISON: Ehhh? (impersonating a male voice)
"What's up girls? So when are these episodes going to air? We are excited to see what you
have in store." ABBY: Wow. They sound really nice.
ALLISON: Totally. Well, guys, our first episode should be up in early 2012, so stay tuned.
ABBY: Stay tuned. Ooh, Allison, I've been thinking about your mom all week.
ALLISON: What? ABBY: Not in a weird way. I was thinking,
"has she been able to watch the video on YouTube, yet?"
ALLISON: Yes, she has. She figured it out. So hopefully, all of those of you who haven't
will also subscribe, just like my mom did, who didn't know how to use YouTube.
ABBY: Yay, Nancy! ALLISON: No excuse for you.
ABBY: Now we're gonna move into our "Question and Answer" portion.
ALLISON: Mmm. Abby. ABBY: Yes, Allison?
ALLISON: How did you get involved in "Home Brewed"?
ABBY: Well, AllisonÉone day I was taking a nap and my phone rang and so I was like,
"Yo?" It's how I answer my phone. Don't judgeÉand Allison was on the other line and she was
like, "Holla' Walla," and I was like, "Word." So, somewhere in between there, she actually
told me what the project was about and asked me to collaborate on it, and I said, "Absolutely,
I would love to because Allison's a delight and I wanted to work with her again."
ALLISON: AwwwÉthank you. ABBY: It's sweetÉ.but, I have a confession
to make. I know nothing about beer. There, I said it.
ALLISON: It's true, but I'm training her. Don't worry.
ABBY: Not in, like, a crazy way or anything. She's training me in an academic way.
ALLISON: Exactly, which is why I've prepared this beer quiz for you.
ABBY: What? ALLISON: True or false: a Saison is a Belgian
farmhouse ale. ABBY: That's a very specifically worded question,
so I'm gonna go with TRUE. ALLISON: Ding, ding, ding. Correct!
ABBY: Actually, that was a wild guess. ALLISON: Right. Next question.
ABBY: Mmm-hmmm. ALLISON: In what month is the celebration
of Oktoberfest held? ABBY: October?
ALLISON: Nope. ABBY: Seriously?
ALLISON: Most people would be confused because it actually starts in September and ends the
first weekend in October. ABBY: I feel tricked.
ALLISON: What? Final question. ABBY: Okay, yeah.
ALLISON: What is a Trappist ale? ABBY: A Trappist ale sounds like an ale that
feels trapped in its bottle, maybe lonely, as well.
ALLISON: Which is a logical explanation, but totally false. It's actually a beer that is
brewed by Trappist monks. ABBY: And I also don't know what Trappist
monks are, so, it looks like I have some more research to do. Hopefully, you guys at home
did a better job. Check it out on wikipedia, "Trappist Monks." I have no idea. And, ooh,
I have a shout out to the students at Eden Prairie High School. I got word that you guys
are being forced to watch us by a man named, My Father. So to you guys, I say "sorry."
ALLISON: And to you, I say, watch "more please." ABBY: She said, "more please." That's all
she knows. ALLISON: Yeah.
ABBY: I didn't even teach it to her. ALLISON: Nope.
ABBY: So now, everybody sing along. ABBY & ALLISON: Subscribe and follow. Subscribe
and follow. ABBY: Subscribe andÉ
ALLISON: Okay guys, have a great week. We'll see you next Friday.
ABBY: She did it again. ALLISON: Sorry.
ABBY: She's sorry.
