I am obsessed with this trend. I love colour and I love that kind of navajo, bohemian thing
so this is just a really, really simple outfit we've put together on Candice and it just
shows that you can be fashion forward without really having to stray too far from your comfort
zone.
So, basically bright colour block jeans. I just love the fact that this t-shirt goes
with all the different colours of jeans. I chose yellow because it's just kind of a colour
that isn't worn that much as jeans.
The Simply Be collection now encompasses every single hue of jean you could ever imagine
so, pick a pair of jeans that makes you feel fun. You've got a favourite colour, wear it!
Last year was the Olympics, this year is kind of fresh easy sports. It's still a massive
trend for Spring/Summer '13 but this time it's all about sports fabrics reworked in
a more fashion forward way.
Simply Be has got absolutely tons of this in the collection. I picked out an absolute
plethora of the tube skirts, I really didn't know which one to pick. It also hits on the
floral trends and the aztec styles in the prints of the jersey fabrics but basically,
if you buy something in a t-shirt material and you wear it in a different way, that is
sports girl done to the max.
This trend is about forgetting about all the colour and being really neutral. It's about
tone on tone, broderie anglais or lace, or really simple silk effects all worn in a paired
down palette and looks really bohemian and really effortless.
This dress was a tug of war between me and Justine about who got to wear it first. It's
an absolutely beautiful little number. I love the dropped hem, I love the two tone lace,
I love that the slip is detachable underneath so you could throw it on over something else.
So keep it simple, keep it really tone on tone and let the texture of the garment do
the talking.
This is my pick of the season for Simply Be. I absolutely love this dress. If you have
looked at any of the catwalks, this is a dead ringer for the Dolce and Gabbana.
I love the idea of it being a really grown up dress with a really fun print. It's got
lemons all over it and the cut out detailing on the back keeps it really sexy. And just
a hint of skin that feels like you could just wear it to a wedding and jazz it up with an
amazing head piece and bright shoes or, like me, I'd kick it on with some flip flops and
a little denim jacket and wear it everyday in the summer.
This dip dye thing that we've been seeing in a bohemian way has been around for a few
seasons and this season they're calling it ombre.
And it's all about colour and placement prints infused together, so Simply Be have done this
*** dress that we put on Candice that feels a little bit more grown up than some of the
dip dyes you've seen before. But it's still really, really fun. I think it's really important
that with a *** dress, they're really forgiving but you've just got to know where to wear
it on your shape. So for Candice it's a little nip in right at the waistline. For you, it
might be under the bust or lower on the hips but wherever it is just make sure you put
a little nip in it somewhere just so it contours your body a little bit.
I just love that you can go crazy print on the bottom half and then really, really simple
on the top. These trousers, cotton, loose, relaxed fitting trousers, are still massive
for Spring/Summer '13.
A lot of people tell me they're really hard to wear. I think they're the easiest thing
in the world to wear. Forget about the size you're buying and pick a pair that fit you
well. So, for me, it's about really gentle tapering, letting it glide off your body and
keeping the top half really, really simple. Making sure that if they're quite flared on
the bottom, don't be too tight on the top and vice versa so keep it balanced and keep
it easy.
