Hey, Marlee from Metamorphoself here.
How’s it going?
Today, we’re going to talk about the feeling of doing a lot of stuff
but not getting a lot done.
And I bet, if you are in online entrepreneurship
you can completely relate to that
because, at least for me, at times it feels like I’m doing so many things
but I haven’t really accomplished anything.
And that’s because a lot of the activities that we do in our online business
can seem like they are not producing a immediate result
for example, if you’re networking with social media
and you spend an excessive time doing that
you can feel like you’ve spent all day working
but you have nothing to show for it.
And so, what I want to share with you today
is how important it is to become aware of how much of more time you spend
doing revenue-generating activities.
Revenue-generating activities are not things like
social networking and hanging out on Facebook, or sending emails to friends and chatting on Skype.
Although all those things are wonderful
they’re great for filming your network
they’re great for establishing relationships
and of course down the road, that can help your online business.
But if you’re looking for ways to immediately increase the revenue of your online business,
you need to focus on doing revenue-generating activities.
Now, of course if those other activities are important to you
you want to create time to do those things
but they need to be limited
and you need goals.
And you’re goal can’t simply be to hang out on your social network and hang out with your friends.
But then you need to limit the time that you do that.
So, the best way to focus on revenue-generating activities
is to ask yourself if what you’re doing right then and there is going to lead to income.
So, that might include sending out an email to your list,
promoting a product,
or asking them to buy something.
That may include:
holding a live webinar that you charge access to.
That might be promoting a book or launching a product, and making sure that you’re doing what you need to do
to get that stuff created and live online.
So, if you feel like you find yourself doing a lot of busy work
but you’re not generating results with what you want to do
you need to start to take a microscope
to how you spend your time, and make sure that the bulk of your time is being spent
doing revenue-generating activities.
And I promise you, you’re going to see a huge difference
not only in the way that you feel about what you’re doing
but in your bottom line
which is really, really IMPORTANT.
Alright, so, let me know what you think about this in the comments below.
I look forward to talking to you again really soon!
