So Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroe's is coming to my mailbox tomorrow. I of course, am going
to be grabbing it on the Sony PlayStation 3. Because I know it works and looks the best
on the PlayStation systems. But I am pretty damn excited about finally being able to play
this game. I want to talk a little bit on my love of this franchise. Back in 1998 when
Metal Gear Solid was release for the Sony PlayStation 1. I was 15 years old. My ***'s
were starting to happen, I was getting my man goatee going. I was eye-*** breast
and at the same time I was growing up and becoming a more mature manly man. So naturally
I was moving past games like Bomberman 64 and all those kiddish type games. Which I
still love today by the way. Nostalgia is a wonderful feeling and don't ever dismiss
nostalgia out of your life. When I found out about Metal Gear Solid from a Pizza Hut demo
disc. My *** came to an ***. This was adult gaming, adult themed, mature and had
a lot of moral value to it. When I played this game Snake somehow became my role model
for the rest of my life. Hell he's the reason why I became a smoker. Which was a stupid
choice if you ask me. Snake to me is the greatest character ever in existence. I divide him
from big boss, unlike most people who play Metal Gear Solid. Solid Snake is a completely
different character in the way he acts and thinks. He's totally different from that of
Big Boss. Big Boss to me is second hat, seriously. I know in Metal Gear Solid 4 he goes on to
live the rest of his life out without all the war, killing and fighting. Just enjoys
his life and big boss announced that he has a soul. So he will have an afterlife. It was
a *** beautiful ending to the series and I'll never ever forget how much this franchise
just rocked. It's the greatest franchise of all. It helped me grow as a person and taught
me everything I really needed to know in life. Nobody can put a price tag on that. But, this
newer one center's on Big Boss and I have to say the level of excitement isn't there
from the previous. Maybe if Solid Snake was in it, it would be a totally different story.
But I'm just not sure how to take it. I know David Hayter is gone...which sucks so bad
and I'm edgy on the whole open world aspect. But I am excited. It still has character's
like revolver ocelot in it, master miller, and I can only hope Zero and Campell has made
the fold as well. For all you Metal Gear Solid fans out there. The die hard ones. How do
you feel about all this? Do you think they should have let it die right after Metal Gear
Solid 4? Do you find yourself less concerned about Big Boss? Let me know! I'm looking forward
to your thoughts. I'll see you all later.
