Hi I'm Emma and welcome to Healthy eating with HealthWorks!
This is part two of our segment on healthy snacks,
and today we're going to learn how to make
a healthy and delicious yogurt parfait.
For this recipe you will need the following ingredients
2 tablespoons granola
1 quarter cup blueberries (washed)
1 container non-fat Greek yogurt
We used about a 6 oz. container.
We chose to use a plain non-fat version
since many of the flavored varieties are high in sugar.
You will also need 1 small bowl and 1 spoon.
First you'll need to add your Greek yogurt to your small bowl.
Next add your blueberries. Blueberries are a great source of fiber as well as vitamin C.
Vitamin C is aids in immunity and aids in the absorption of iron in the granola.
Studies suggest that berries increase shrot term memory which is perfect for studying.
Finally we're going to add our granola on top of the blueberries.
Granola is a great source of iron which can help reduce your risk for anemia,
it also contains whole grains which can make you feel fuller longer and they also aid in weight management.
And there you have it, a quick and healthy study snack.
Thank you for watching Healthy Eating with Healthworks.
Enjoy and good luck on that test.
