Hello and welcome to Todd's kitchen. Todays recipe idea comes from the following Youtube user.
I have looked everywhere for this recipe but it does not exist so i have
had to make it up myself from scratch. So join me today as i make my version of a
chocolate chip and gummy bear ice cream.
So we are going to start of by making our ice cream. Into a mixing bowl pour in
a three hundred and ninety five gram
tin of sweetened condensed milk
Then two cups of thickened cream.
Then half a cup of milk
Next with a hand mixer or a stand mixer
we are going to whip this for about
five minutes until it is well combined and nice and fluffy
Now that has come up to a soft peak stage which is exactly how you want it
There are two options for this next stage
the first option is if you have a ice cream churner
just simply put your mix in the ice cream churner
and let it churn away for twenty minutes
If you don't have a ice cream churner just place the cream into a sealed
containers into the freezer
Then for the first three hours every hour with a hand mixer
give it a good mix for about two to three minutes and what that will do is
work like a churner where it will keep it nice and fluffy
So the only difference between doing it that way and with an ice cream churner is
simply the ice cream churner does it faster, but because im using an ice cream churner I'm going to churn this for
twenty minutes until we get a nice soft serve consistency
Now while its churning
or just before you place it in the freezer
add in a tablespoon of vanilla extract
Now we have a nice soft serve consistency
look at that
yum yum
Now this is what it should be like by the third time you have mixed it from the freezer
so if this is the third time you have mixed it
what we will do is add in half a cup of chocolate chips
and then to that one cup of gummy bears
Give it a quick mix through until well combined
and that's it
Now you can have it as is, as a soft serve and it will taste fantastic
But if you're after that more harder traditional ice cream texture then simply place your ice cream mixture
into a sealed container and place into the freezer for about two to three hours
to completely set
I have just dished up some of this ice cream
now to give it a try
now that is a lovely
fluffy
creamy tasting ice cream, it really really is
you have that ice cream vanilla taste
as well as those chocolate chips and i'll tell you what those gummy bears
adds that little bit extra that sets it of
With the gummy bears they are very chewy in this
ice cream
their not rock hard, just more chewy
But thats what i love about having gummy bears in ice cream
simply because it makes the ice cream last longer
But i'll tell you what, this gummy bear ice cream taste simple delicious
and i made it in no time at all
A total of five minutes preparation, then twenty minutes or three hours
to reach soft serve consistency
and a little bit longer to make a harder ice cream
So please leave a comment down below and let me know what you think, and if you make it
