The next crystal I want to talk about is Gary Green Jasper. And Gary Green Jasper is
also called Larsenite or Bogwood.
So I actually have a slab,
and you'll notice that looks very similar to petrified wood but it has this
green color. And
I'm not sure how accurate this is because sometimes we can't always trust
everything that a vendor tells us when we purchase our crystals, but
my understanding from speaking with the vendor where I purchased this Larsenite,
or Gary Green Jasper or Bogwood,
is that this is actually a Jasper that replaced a
living organism, in this case a tree,
so it's a form of petrified wood
that was actually stained green by microscopic algae.
Now I don't know how an algae would stain a mineral, but I suppose it
maybe could happen. But that's sort of the story behind the Gary Green
Jasper, and again I'm not sure on the accuracy of that but that's what I was told.
So the
Gary Green Jasper really allows you to feel protected and nurtured. It almost
creates a shield around your aura so that if you have some apprehension
or concern or even feel a little uncomfortable going out into
nature, this can really help you reconnect in a very safe and nurtured
and supported way. So some people have maybe had negative experiences or past-
life trauma that could be affecting the way that they connect with nature, and
they Gary Green Jasper can really help you to move past that. So just having a
piece in your pocket or in your receiving hand, which again is your non-
dominant hand, while you take sort of baby steps in getting back into the
natural world and surrounding yourself with the energy of the earth can be a
great way to reintegrate yourself.
