Hey, Grill Girl Here! Today we're going to be talking about when
you know it's time to replace your cast iron burner.
So this is a cast iron burner. Cast iron, as it starts to rust will actually flake apart
here. As you can see, this burner very obviously
needs to be replaced because there is a giant hole in it.
Now your flame is going to come right out of here - you're going to get anything along
the sides. So that's one way you can tell obviously.
Now, another way that you might be able to tell you need a new burner is if you're getting
a lot of flame in the back, middle or in the front but it's not even all across the burner.
That would happen because as your burner rusts, it actually rusts into the holes here. And
it can clog them up. Because this burner here is rusted, it's just
falling off. But a lot of times, you'll see burners that
are all blogged up along the holes and no flame will come out there.
So, once you remove your burner and you can tell that it's definitely time to replace
it, you're going to want to measure it. When you measure your burner, it's very important
to measure the entire thing after you've taken it out of your grill.
So here we have a burner that's about sixteen and a quarter inches long.
If you go onto our website and you don't know your model number, you'll need to have the
measurement to replace it and get the right replacement.
And that's all you need to know to replace your burner.
