Kieran's Story

I'm Shaun, this is Kieran, and this is our story, but more importantly it's Kieran's story. We're twins the last of 8 children to a good Ballarat East Family for a lot of years we just bummed around out there in Ballarat East. But it came apparent at some point that Keiran needed to have his own place, especially after all of us kids had left, is that right? And that's why he came here to be at Edward Street, and it's been great He's been able to put up his own Tigers posters, which he's done in his own room. Kieran's been here 13 years at Edwards Street, there's been its ups and down but it's been a good 13 years hasn't it Keiran? You like having your own place here at Edwards Street? Like having that independence He was the Sustainability Officer at Edwards Street, started up the veggie gardens which are outside, what sort of veggies are over there? Lots of beans, tomatoes, might have a bit of pumpkin I think is there One of the people that's really special in Kieran's life I think, is James, who's worked with Keiran for, he is special to you -- for the last 4 years, I think they've lived this love/hate relationship James: Well, the first thing I do with Kieran is annoy him, as you can tell by the way he carried on before, but that's our thing, that's the way we communicate. Most mornings, we're up and lively like that, it's a good start to the day if Kieran's been pumped up that little bit rather than flat. Kieran's a very avid Richmond supporter; you don't go near him while he's watching it on the TV, just in case, one false move and there's a point. So yeah, we worked well together I think we're um, yeah, it's hard to say Shaun: The other day mum actually said that the relationship between James and Keiran, is not so much more of a carer and a "caree" but brothers and I have to agree with that.
