The blues is a style of music that originated from African-Americans in the early 1900s.
It evolved from the slaves working on plantations and their songs, from work songs, field hollers
and ring shouts. All of these evolved into what is commonly known as the blues. The blues
is a twelve bar form that follows a certain pattern of notes. I will now show you this
pattern of notes. The blues chord changes include one, four, one, one in the first four
measures. The second group is the second four measures which moves to the four chord, four
chord, one, one. And then, it moves to the third four measures which has the five, four
and then the one and the one. This is the common blues form. I will now talk, next talk
about how it relates to the key of F.
