Hey Guys! It's Toy today I will be doing a wash and go style on my daughter's natural
hair. Right now I'm taking off her turbie towel. I use this to absorb some of the water
out of her hair. You can find these towels at walgreens or the dollar store. Her hair is freshily cowashed
using VO5 miosture milks conditioner. I will be using Aussie Moist conditioner to set her
wash and go style. Since her hair is already detangled, I will
be using larger sections to apply the conditioner. I am using my fingers to evenly diistribute
the condtitioner from the root to the tips of her hair. Now that each strand is coated,
I'm going to begin to smooth the hair. I find smoothing the hair over finger combing it
helps to prevent frizz when doing wash and go's.
The key to a frizz free wash and go, is the smoothing action that you make with your fingers
and hands. Also, you have to make sure that all the strands of the hair are evenly coated.
At this point I'm completely done. Her wash and go will air dry. This usually takes around
3 to 4 hours. When I come back I will show you how I style her wash and go by smoothing
Hot six oil over her hair strands. I like to smooth wash and go's rather then scrunch
it. becuase scrunching in my opinion adds more frizz. Once again, I smooth the oil onto
the hair with the palms of my hands. Do Not comb or rack the hair. It will beging to frizz
if you do! Everynight I add a little oil to her hair
before she goes to bed. I tie up her wash and go hairstyle with a metal free band or
scrunchie. She sleeps on a satin pillow case. If you don't have a satin pillow case you
can aslo use a satin bonnet.
