[Ep 4 of 6] Chrome Plugins - Google Dictionary Hey chaps, It's Deepak here from Get paid
to Tutor and Meet my tutor.com. Once again, welcome back to Productivity Ninja.
It's Episode 4 of 6, and we are whizzing through what I use in my day to day life in
terms of Chrome Plug-ins. Chrome is my preferred browser. If you want to jump right
into it and see how I use my computer day to day, then there's little URL, you can
go to and it's getpaidtotutor.com/Productivityninja.
Today is going to be slightly quicker. What I want to show you is something that's
absolutely awesome and very, very easy to use. It's the Google Chrome Dictionary
Plug-in. It's this little 'bad boy' here. Let's double click it, click on extension
options, Google Dictionary. My language is English
and it's got option of all of these languages, all the major western languages
as well as Chinese. It's like ** it does what it says on the tin. If there's a word
I'm unfamiliar with... let's have a look at 'pesticide', there you go, it brings us the
phonetic translation of it, pes-ti-cide—a substance used to destroy insects or other
organism harmful to cultivated plants or to animals. [Pesticide] that is absolutely
awesome. And also pronounced it for you. Let's find a difficult word. Let's type Acid,
so Acid --some fancy random word that we can try and find—let's have a look at 'multiversioning'
no definition found for this one. So not everything, evidently, is able
to find the words. But it's very cool. [Implementation] as you can see it does exactly
what it says on the tin, it will give you the meaning of that word if you're a little
bit stuck. You can open up more and it will take you to the Google explanation of
what are these implementation is. It's Google dictionary extension, and it's a free Chrome
plug-in to all Google staff. The moment I'm showing you and I very much
recommend... I use it all the dawn of time and as you can see it does exactly that
a small pop up bubble and I recommend you get it.
So that's Episode 4. In the next step that we'll be looking at the last part, which is
not a favourite of mine. If you want to skip straight ahead as I said, feel free to go
to this little 'bad boy' here, and have a look
at how I use my computer in depth. Catch you for the next episode. See you guys.
