Hi, My name is Ken Hung, Im the Senoir Stylist at suki's salon
today we are going to talk about how to grow your healthy long hair
im sure lots of people have short hair right now
its quite a trend, quite popular right now
and some people when they are getting tired of it they want to change their style
its time to change and move to long hair
so what do you need to do?
grow out your long hair is quite a long process
its one of the most awful thing in the world
we cant make it painless, but here are some tips for you to make your life easier
the first tip is set a goal for yourself
decide the length and shape of long hair you wish to grow out
our hair grows 0.5 - 1 inch per month
long process, be patient, you need to have a target for yourself
and work with your hair stylist to grow your hair longer
the second tip is keep triming
a lot of people thinking, when they are growing their hair, they dont need to cut their hair at all
a regular triming is very important, you have lots of split ends
eventually you will have lots of dry ends, and if you dont trim it, you will destroy your hair
it will keep spliting to the top so you will get more and more dry hair
so triming is very important, and its very important to tell your hair stylist what you want to do
make sure you bring a picture and tell your hair stylist, this is what you want to do, to aviod a cut
tip 3 is to moisturize and protect your hair
make sure you do that to keep your hair healthy
everything you finish your shampoo, put some styling products or moisture products at the end
you really need to moisture your ends and you will get much less split ends in there
make sure if you use hot tools like flat iron a lot then make sure you put protections on it
then you hair will get heat resistence
tip 4 is to eat healthy, you are what you eat
if you have a healthy diet, your hair will grow out more properly
rich diet like iron will help to speed up your hair growth
protines will make your hair more strength
and vitamins and minerals will also help hair growth
our hair are made of protines so get more food that contains protine will help your to grow healthy hair
tip number 5 is to get moving
doing more excersie will help your hair to grow faster, believe it or not, this is gonna help
doing more excersie will help to stimulate your selfproduction
help your blood circulations
tip 6 , during growing your hair at different stage and style
what should you do for your hair
for example, if you growing out from layers
you always need a trim, and also need hot tools to setting up beach waves on it
if you want to grow out your ***, from short *** to long ***, or from layers
always prepare to have bobby pins, just pin it up on the side of your hair
just keep your *** falling down on your face
when it grows longer you can start to put it behind your ears
im sure lots of people will do that automatically
and if you growing out from perm what should you do
if you have a perm of texture like that
you can always put it behind, twist, and do a simple updo everyday
so a side updos, and put your side *** on
in two minutes , less than that
if you grow your hair from above what can you do ? change your part
?if you part on your right, you can part even further
or even change to your left side
that will give you a new feeling to your style
tip 7 , you need to wash it, but dont overwash your hair
I recommanded you wash it every two to three days
it will help your hair ,keep it healthy and shine
dont do anything that is too extreme to your hair, it will damage your hair growth
tip 8 is to get your hair deep conditioned all the time
use deep conditioning treatments at least 1-2times a week
after shampoo and conditioner, dont roughly dry your hair
only use a towel really gentle to dry
section by section, and comb through your hair very gently
a lot of people just comb from top to bottom, always avoid to do that, use a white tooth comb
which will help easier to comb through the nots
start from the bottom part, and slowly work it up, section by section
which will keep your hair smooth and healthy without breaking your hair
or you will hear strange sound from your hair like "ke ke ke "
that means your are breaking your hair, and also use some round brush
different size round brush, depends on the length of your hair
use a small round brush if you have short length, and use a big round brush if you have longger length
put it underneath your hair and blowdry
tip 9 is to use more styling products to your hair
which is like mousse, which will help to create more movement after your blowdry
also curling iron, which will help to setup a shape
use those hot tools to setup some natural wave or some beach wave
which is quite popular right now for long hair
so your hair still has lots of natural shapes in there
with those 9 tips i provide, hopefully help you to grow long healthy hair
also there are some products that I would recommand to use during growing out your hair
the first one is Shumura essence absolute serum
which will help moisturize your hair on the length and ends
and softening your hair a little bit, and also there is a UV protector in ther
also from Kirassiam, there is a fibre actitat
put it on your ends daily, which will provide protines and moisture in there
it will make less split ends and help your hair grow faster

you need to use some shampoo and conditioner that has UV protection in there
if you are going for vacation dont forget to use UV protection cream for your hair
not only for your skin and face, but also for your hair as well
