Hey guys, it's Kristen and you're watching 'The Fan Club.' It's Valentine's Day! And
that means romance and love and Cupid and CHOCOLATE! For this Valentine's Day, I have
a bunch of movies that are great to watch whether you're in a relationship, if you're
forever alone, or if you just want to have a Galentine's Day and watch movies with hunky
guys with you and your girl friends. So without further ado, let's GO!
"L-O-V-E," Nat King Cole: "L is for the way you look at me..."
If you're interested in a romantic comedy, I would recommend a movie like '10 Things
I Hate About You,' which stars Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles. It's a movie about a kid
who moves into a new school and he has a crush on this girl and the only way he can get a
date with her is to get a date for her older, meaner sister. So he pays a guy to take her
out and things spiral out of control from there. It's a really good movie. Another movie
I would recommend is 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days,' which stars Kate Hudson and Matthew
McConaughey. The movie is about a guy who is kind of a ladies man and he makes a deal
with someone at work that he will get the big work contract if he can get a girl to
fall in love with him in 10 days, and, ironically, the girl that he gets to fall for him is actually
a journalist who's writing a story on how to lose a guy in 10 days. There's also 'He's
Just Not That Into You,' which was based on a self-help book of the same name, and there's
the movie "Valentine's Day," which, I mean, it's 'Valentine's Day,' so why not watch it?
And if you're interested in something a little different, maybe a little edgier, there is
the zom-rom-com 'Warm Bodies,' which is essentially a zombie love story.
"...O is for the only one I see..."
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are notorious for making amazing rom-com movies together,
otherwise they wouldn't have them star in 3 romantic comedies together, which I think
says a lot, they obviously have a lot of chemistry on-camera. Their movie is coming out in May,
called 'Blended,' but they've also worked on 'The Wedding Singer' together and '50 First
Dates,' so you should definitely check out those movies if you get a chance.
"...V is very, very extraordinary..."
If you want to watch a tear-jerker movie this Valentine's Day, you need to watch a Nicholas
Sparks film because every single one of his films will literally have you curled up in
a corner, crying, surrounded by chocolate and wine, whether it be 'A Walk To Remember'
with Mandy Moore and Shane West, 'The Notebook' with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, 'The
Last Song' with Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus. Any one of those films will literally have
you in tears in a good way though, in a good way. Some other tear-jerker movies, you might
be interested in: 'The Vow' with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. I mean, literally, if
you woke up from an accident and couldn't remember anything and Channing Tatum told
you he was your husband, why would you question that? Or 'PS I Love You' starring Hilary Swank
and Gerard Butler because 1. It's about a widow who gets letters from her late husband
-- so sad, oh my goodness! 2. Ireland. It makes you want to go to Ireland because it
is so -- the scenery is just gorgeous, and that Irish accent of Gerard Butler's -- oh
my goodness! This is the perfect movie to watch for a Galentine's Day, I'm telling you
right now.
"...Now E is even more than anyone that you adore. And love is all that I can give to
you..."
If you're feeling an animated movie this Valentine's Day, definitely check out 'Up.' The first
10 minutes will have you in tears, but the rest is all fun adventure. Definitely check
out 'Wall-E,' I mean, it's robots in love and they're so cute! I also recommend the
'Shrek' movies because it's not the typical love story, you know. The princess falls in
love with an ogre, that's so different. And, of course, any other Disney movie. You know,
'Tangled' is a good one because it's a love story, but it's also a story of empowerment.
There's 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'The Little Mermaid,' any Disney movie is good all the
time, so why not for Valentine's Day?
"...Woah, love is just another game for two..."
Alright, well, this list could go on forever. There are a lot of movies out there: anti-Valentine's
Day movies, romantic comedies, unconventional love stories. So let me know, what are you
planning on doing this Valentine's Day and leave a comment below if you're watching a
movie. What movie are you watching? Leave your recommendations. Alright, thank you so
much for watching, please feel free to subscribe. I will leave my social media links down below.
See ya!
"...Take my heart, but please don't break it. Love was made for me and youuuuu!"
